SCHWARZ/WEISS/MINT = COLOR BLOCK PARTY
CARS
SAVOIE

PRESS RELEASE YOEK FALL / WINTER 2012-13
Chic, Classy and Cool: these three key words describe Yoek’s winter collection, setting the tone in fashion for women sizes 38 through 58. As always, Yoek offers splendid prints, a perfect fit and surprising details, turning every piece of clothing into an essential item.
For the fall season, Yoek presents no less than nine themes.
Bohemian
A strong opening for the collection comes through the theme ‘Bohemian’. The ultimate basic color, black, is assisted by a warm chili orange. The Bohemian print unites these colors with an unexpected touch of pink which gives the whole an energetic aura. When the temperature begins to drop outside, your wardrobe cries out for a few nice, cozy sweaters and vests. This wish can be fulfilled right away thanks to the beautiful A-line knitted items with relief and tough looking turtleneck or the small cable knit sweaters in the new, slightly shorter length. Those who prefer vests may go for the longer ones – even maxi – with a trendy trimming of fur.
Mercer
The sugary sweet pink of the very first It girl, Barbie, is used as the basis for the second theme: Mercer. Besides pink, dabs of green and yellow are integrated into the Mercer print. These tints also turn up in the appliqués or the beads along the neckline of the black tops. Mercer sweaters are long, but cut in at the waist. Vests, with frills along the front, are short at the front but long at the back. Thus, the knitwear beautifully follows the curves of the body for an extra feminine aura.
Forest
When green is in the lead, there is no better name than Forest. Many transparent fabrics are used for this chic theme, some of them decorated with the black flower print Astor. Charmingly flowing accordion-pleated tops, tunics with batwing sleeves and airy blouses are perfect for daytime wear. A sensational series of black dresses was chosen for the evening. They are of simple design, but provided with spectacular details such as a costume jewelry decoration on one shoulder or sexy draping around the breasts.
Oil-dye
Following the success of the oil-dye fabrics in the summer collection, Yoek brings back this popular material in the fall. The soft grays now get lace accents. Very eye-catching at times, other times very subtle, but mostly right on trend. The oil-dye vest and dress are provided with tiny holes, which can best be described as a wintery open work. Truly wonderful in combination with the basic denim stretch pants, this year in bootleg design for the first time. The popular 'ruffle with little buttons' variation now has support from the 'ruffle with tough zipper' version.
Black & White
‘Never change a winning team’: with the strong black-and-white group, Yoek demonstrates once again that true class lies in true simplicity. The Bouclé jacket in black-and-white or black and silver is a must-have for every 'fashionista'. Accordion-pleated blouses or tunics with flowing sculpted borders are pieces of clothing you never want to take off. Even when worn with a pair of jeans they still leave you in the 'best-dressed’ category. Another top item for your wardrobe is the black dress with lace sleeves and a lovely white collar. For those who like their outfit a little less chic, the Letters print is a good solution. This Pop Art-style design pops up in tops, leggings and the tube skirt, another key item for the fall.
Violet
When it gets colder, it is nice to wrap up in slightly thicker materials. The Violet group offers fine interlock quality worked into dresses and tunics with a 1960s feel thanks to the funny accents in patent leather. This group, too, has a beautifully tight tube skirt for an extra slimming effect.
Bridget
A natural sequence to Violet is the Bridget theme. Again the purple tints, but in micro-fiber designs. The warm fall roses of the Bridget print combined with the lace details make for a very pretty picture. Gold-colored sequins and beads emphasize the cozy ambiance of winter.
Bird
From Bridget to the Bird theme is also just a small step. Thanks to the prominent basic colors Latte and Coffee the designs and prints match perfectly. Here, too, the trendy little white collar, but this time in combination with the flying birds of the print. To accentuate the theme even more, the viscose/elasthan vests are trimmed with a border of tiny feathers. The two fake fur coats are quite a bit wilder. The Raccoon is long and elegant, while the funny Koala has a tougher aura, also because of the white/brown mix.
Snake
The last theme makes use of the new fashion classic, animal prints. Yoek opted for a sophisticated snake print in green and brown. Thanks to a mix of materials such as voile and microfiber, the print really comes to life on the splendid dresses, leggings and tube skirt. Yoek even goes a step further and combines the snakeskin with lace or tops with special flock prints.
MID-WINTER
Yoek also offers a mid-winter program, of course, with two themes, Splash and Leopard, as well as an interlock group in the classy combination black and white.
In the interlock program black and white play a challenging graphic game. From color blocking in the tops to exciting contrasting piping on tunics and tight skirts. The necklines on shirts are made special through cut-outs or chains of sequins in the same tint as the fabric. Also in this group a wonderful pair of bootleg pants in – of course – black.
The theme Splash provides the black & white with a cheerful touch thanks to the orange spots in the panther print. Leopard is a trendy panther print in elegant green. The tunics in this series are characterized by a new, shorter length, but dresses, blouses and leggings join in for a wild winter.

PRESS RELEASE SUMMER 2012
Yoek, the label for fashion-conscious women sizes 38 through 58, offers a surprising collection for next summer, a collection demonstrating a perfect balance between innovation, trends and tradition. Yoek plays with familiar colors and fabrics while combining them with new materials and techniques. After the successful launching of Dolce during the previous season, in summer 2012 the flowing, super micro-stretch will be omnipresent. Then there is the brand-new dying-with-oil method, a dying process producing an astonishing vintage look. By wearing it with silk and linen, a special and interesting play of contrasts is created. Layers remain important, although generally the silhouette is becoming straighter, thanks to short, fitted blazers, A-line tops and flamboyant maxi dresses. Yoek works with six themes for summer 2012: Fauna, Ethnic, Spring Rose, Neon Butterfly, Raspberry and the Blue group, consisting of Azul, Labyrinth and Breton.
Fauna tells the story of a lovely place overflowing with exotic flowers and plants. The main colors of this group are lavender, white and pink, used in charming tunics, layered skirts and open-worked sweaters. To create the illusion of a contemporary fairytale, there are oil-dyed pieces such as tops and leggings emanating a sense of modern tough. Due to this wash technique, the textile dye produces a different result in every piece of clothing. It lends a unique kind of ink-blot effect, a kind of vintage feel. Also splendid in combination with a thicker type of fabric such as linen.
From the colorful garden we transfer to Ethnic. A group in the ultimate classic combination black-and-white. The graphic print is easily combined with indispensable basic pieces, but the true stars in this group are black-and-white design items. The trench coat, for example, with a trimming of frills, in the same fabric, along the neckline. The simple black tunic will become a show stopper thanks to the cape sleeves in voile, and a black legging changes from basic into special due to the zipper details.
The design team obviously was inspired by the sun when it designed the series Spring Rose. Cheerful pinks in bold colors with contrasting beads supply move along the body and are worn tastefully with the colors rose and black. The rose theme returns subtly in the fabric flowers in the same solid color as the dresses and tops.
Needless to say, in summer linen is indispensable! Linen offers pants, vests and tops in this cool and cooling material and combines them with the afore-mentioned oil-dyed pieces, gold-colored sequins and – for the first time in a Yoek collection – silk tops. The colorful Neon Butterfly and the golden accents lend a classic aura to the natural tints sand, white and taupe.
What is more summery than blue? More blue! Azul was inspired by Portuguese tile work as can be seen in tops, tunics, dresses and vests. The print looks beautiful on jeans or is worn with tops with a small azure detail worked in. Labyrinth almost make you dizzy, as if you were in the middle of ocean waves. The golden accents make everything look more dressed up. Last but not least is the Breton stripe. This evergreen is given the Yoek touch thanks to extra accents such as frills on a traditional shirt or a mesh layer on top of a shirt dress.
Our last group is the one to make every summer even more cheerful. Raspberry offers numerous delightful basics in pink with an additional, saucy white dot now and then. Airy maxi dresses and tunics with original details on the back are literally begging for hot summer weather. And if it happens to be somber and cloudy one day, the vests with puff sleeves and the boleros with frills will definitely brighten it up!
